Redmi has installed such a part in the new phone, now the battery will be consumed 20 percent less, will be visible clearly even in sunlight
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch the next series Redmi K80 after the success of its previous series K70. It is learned that it can be launched in China on November 27. The Redmi K-series has always been very popular due to its flagship-level specifications and affordable prices. The Redmi K80 series is expected to be a success like the K70 series, and there are many solid reasons behind it.
This time, Redmi has changed its product strategy. The K-series is now made the company’s most premium offering, which will bridge the gap between Xiaomi’s flagship number series like Xiaomi 15. Along with this, the company has introduced a new REDMI logo in bold red text. This time only two models will be launched in the K80 series: K80 and K80 Pro. There will be no K80e model like before. With these big changes, what can be expected from the K80 series?
Redmi K80 Pro Premium Display
Both the K80 and K80 Pro will come with 2K resolution AMOLED displays, made by TCL Huaxing. This display uses customized M9 luminescent material, which makes it consume 20.3% less power than the K70 series.
It has a global peak brightness of 1800 nits, which makes it clearly visible even in sunlight. Also, it has technologies like DC dimming and circular polarization, which ensure eye protection. It comes with TUV Rheinland’s flicker-free certification. Its AON Smart Eye Care feature will allow real-time monitoring of users’ visual health.
Flagship Processor
The K80 Pro will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This is Qualcomm’s first SoC, which uses the company’s own developed Orion core. It has an 8-core design, with 2 prime cores working at 4.32GHz and 6 performance cores working at speeds up to 3.53GHz.
Redmi has paired its in-house D1 graphics chip with this processor, which brings the device’s Antutu benchmark score to 31,94,766. To manage heat, it has a dual-loop 3D ice-cooling system. Gaming Engine 4.0 and 120fps Super Frame concurrency support for gaming make it even better.
Camera setup
The K80 has a 50MP OmniVision OV50 main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP macro lens. For selfies, it will have a 20MP OmniVision OV20B front camera.
At the same time, the K80 Pro’s camera will get a major upgrade. It will have a 32MP ultra-wide ISOCELL KD1 sensor along with a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ISCOELL JN5 telephoto lens, which supports 2.6x optical zoom.
Battery and Charging
The K80 will have a 6500mAh battery, which will come with 90W fast charging. On the other hand, the K80 Pro will have a slightly smaller 6000mAh battery, but it will compensate for it with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Both models will have ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, metal middle frame and IP68/IP69 water-dust resistance. Dragon crystal glass has been used in it to protect the screen.
The price and other details of the Redmi K80 series will be revealed at the official launch on November 27. But it would not be wrong to say that the Redmi K80 series can also make a splash in the Indian market due to its flagship specifications and affordable prices.
